I've been pretty busy lately and it’s been hard to find the time to post what I’m working on. But I can't resist showing the images from this vacation property I photographed last week. Mark the vacation homeowner recently renovated this adorable cabin that runs along side the Ammonoosuc River in Carroll, NH. The property is a short walk to the Lower Falls. This is a location that I love to visit when I have a few moments and I’m up in the Whites. I've photographed the falls at many different times of the year. But it's really nice when I a client lets me work with them to figure out the best time to photograph a location. With this particular job I asked Mark to give me a window of opportunity of a few days when the cabin was not occupied. And as the days got closer I told him I would select a date to stay over that the weather looks best. Staying at a vacation home to photograph it is really the best way to watch the light and the weather conditions to grab an opportunity when I see it. I knew was going to snow during the evening and it was my hope that I would wake up to the forest covered with fresh snow just like you see in the photographs. It did not last for long. I woke up at 6:30 am and was outside photographing at 8. By 10 AM the snow on the trees had melted and every thing looked so different.
The property is available to rent on VRBO. Here is the link if you're curious.
