Do you have a DSLR but trying to understand all the features, buttons and toggle switches is a little overwhelming? Join me for an adult enrichment class starting the end of January.
I've been teaching digital photography at SNHU for a couple years and I find it very inspiring to watch students learn and really develop their own style of creativity. I am excited to take my teaching skills and turn this into an adult education class.
My sessions begins by asking my students what they want to learn? I do this so I can understand what their goals are and why they are interested in taking a photography class. The first few weeks of class we dive into the technical aspects of digital photography. I break the content down into easy to understand pieces. We work with the basics to understand manual exposure, aperture priority, shutter speed priority, long exposures and then we progress into areas that the students showed interest in. Imagination and class consensus determine the latter part of the course. Topics could include light painting, landscape photography, being able to take better photos of friends and family.
The course is hosted by The Derry Center for Adult Studies and will be held at one of the schools in Derry, NH. More details about the class will be published on there website around December 1st. Here is a link to there web site. The Derry Center for Adult Studies will mail out 35,000 flyers to Derry and the surrounding communities. Everybody is welcome to sign-up. Space is available 20 students.
Class will begin the end of January 2019 and will continue on Tuesday evening for 10 weeks.

The photographs in this blog are all from my students. They had little to no experience with a DSLR when they first took my class. I'm very proud of what they accomplished.
